Lady Gaga YouTube Account Suspended

Posted by admin on July 14, 2011

If you were visiting Lady Gaga’s account on YouTube and came across the message  ”This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s Copyright Policy” it is not a joke. The reason for this is that she posted footage from her recent appearance on the Japanese show “SMAP x SMAP” and didn’t secure the digital rights.

There hasn’t been a comment from Lady Gaga or her team yet. She tweeted a picture of her and the band before it aired in Japan.

Pot vs. Kettle Alert: Did Miley Cyrus Really Just Diss Rebecca Black?

Posted by Chops on March 31, 2011

“It should be harder to be an artist,” the 18-year-old Cyrus said while doing press for her upcoming first-ever shows in Australia. “You shouldn’t just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour.”

Right, a true artist should hone his/her craft over the years. Why take shortcuts like YouTube videos…or relying on the marketing machine of an international entertainment conglomerate, hit-making songwriters and a healty dose of Auto-Tune to become famous.

Such comments would also put the former Disney star at odds with the likes of Lady Gaga (who hailed Black as a “genius”), Simon Cowell (who called “Friday” a “brilliant” song and questioned the “hysterical” reaction surrounding it) and some percentage of the 60 million-plus people who have watched the clip on YouTube.

Perhaps that’s why Team Miley is trying to play down the comments. A source close to the erstwhile Hannah Montana (who’s in Australian on her first tour Down Under) insisted today to E! News that Cyrus never specifically meant to single out the “Friday” purveyor or even mentioned Black’s name in the interview.

You Never Know What Can Happen

Posted by admin on December 23, 2010

While scouring the vast Internet, every now and then I’ll come across something (article, audio, video) that I just can’t help but enjoy. While looking through Billboard’s top viral videos of the year I came across one such video: (Parental Advisory)

How would you like to have something like this to share with friends,  family and everyone else on YouTube (wishing they were in Keenan’s position)?

Kudos to 50.

Do You Remember When We Went…

Posted by admin on December 9, 2010

Guitar

This is not all that goes on...

I’m sure you’ve probably heard about the accident that happened at a Metallica concert in November where a child at the edge of the stage accidentally had a beach ball sent her way as guitarist Kirk Hammett was kicking it and other beach balls out into the audience. If you haven’t seen it, here’s the video for reference:

Shortly after an explanation of what happened was posted on their official web site so that the situation would not get blown too far out of proportion.

I thought of the times I’ve went to see a band I enjoy and the things that happen not only on-stage but within the audience, some less irritating than others. I’d like to hear what irritates you the most when you have attended the show of your favorite group, artist, etc…

I’ll be with you until 11pm tonight so call me up and tell me your story.

Cee Lo Green has stumbled upon the perfect follow-up

Posted by admin on October 29, 2010

Cee Lo Green has stumbled upon the perfect follow-up

After nearly five years of trying, Cee Lo Green has finally stumbled upon the perfect follow-up to Gnarls Barkley‘s pop smash, “Crazy”-and it’s impossible to play on the radio. “F-ck You,” the first taste from Green’s forthcoming “The Ladykiller,” could’ve been an intense lament. Instead, it’s as sunny as a ’60s Motown hit and as expletive-laden as an early Eminem song, a combination that fits the singer’s sky-high vocals and offbeat sense of humor well.

Over a twinkling piano line, bumping bass and steady percussion, Green shakes off a failed relationship with a gold digger by packing the simple pleasures of old-school soul music into tongue-in-cheek verses and a suitably soaring chorus. Even if its excessive swearing means the mainstream will only hear the song’s far inferior radio edit, “Forget You,” the original’s 3 million YouTube hits in a week’s time prove that “F-ck You” is too irresistible to be denied.

Lady Gaga Beats Bieber To Billion-Served YouTube Mark

Posted by Chops on October 27, 2010

Lady Gaga Beats Bieber To Billion-Served YouTube Mark

Bieber’s hotter. But Gaga got there first.

Lady Gaga just became the first artist in history to pass the one-billion-viewed mark on YouTube, leaving nearest challenger Justin Bieber in the dust… if you can call his tally of 965 million views “dusty.”

And you can’t, because, in fact, Sir Bieber is within weeks of catching up with and surpassing Lady G in the YouTube record book. For the quarter that began in July of this year and ended September, JB was clearly on the faster track. His videos were viewed an average 3.98 million times a day, vastly outpacing her 2.04 million daily views.

Read the whole story here! OR….You can add to her view count!
