Police in Louisville, Ky., say they discovered a homeless man living at the city’s Norton Hospital Monday morning. He avoided detection by pretending to be a doctor.

The man, Patrick Campbell, was wearing scrubs, a lab coat and a surgical mask at the time of his discovery, working on a computer. According to WAVE, a doctor at the hospital had logged Campbell onto the computer, believing he was a colleague.

Sure, we’ve heard of grand theft auto. But what about grand theft donut? That’s the best (or worst?) joke we could think of about the recent theft of a Krispy Kreme donut truck, which was loaded with the fried treats.Police say James Freddy Major jumped into the truck as its driver unloaded a delivery at the Quick Stop convenience store at an Exxon gas station in Dacula, Ga. What followed was a nearly 15-mile chase by police down Highway 316 and Interstate 85, with Major reaching speeds of up to 70 miles per hour. He appeared to be under the influence at the time.

Major eventually drove himself into a dead end in a residential neighborhood, where he plowed into a mailbox before attempting to flee on foot. Police and K9 dogs soon caught up with him, and it was off to jail for Major.

William Kise, 41, reportedly crashed his Mustang into an Indianapolis home Thursday night, and had one question for the homeowner: “You want some pizza? He wasn’t lying. Officers found a pizza box and a bottle of hot sauce in the back of his car after the accident, the Indianapolis Star reported. Officers on the scene said Kise had Tabasco sauce all over his pants and an alcohol odor on his breath. He also had slurred speech and red eyes, WXIN-TV reported. A man accused of robbing a cab driver in Daytona Beach, Fla., might have gotten away if he hadn’t left his wallet in the taxi, according to cops. The unsuspecting cab driver, later identified as Marc Bruzzese, allowed the seat switch. During the ride, Smith reportedly asked the driver if business was good. Then, at the end of the ride, he reached over and tried to grab Bruzzese’s wallet and cellphone, the Sun-Sentinel newspaper reported.

Then, the cabbie found a wallet belonging to Smith on the floorboard. When deputies visited Smith’s house later that day, he wasn’t there, but they noticed him drive by, so they followed him until he stopped at a nearby parking lot and observed him shoving his girlfriend out of the passenger seat, the Daytona News Journal reported. Smith was then charged with attempted robbery, battery, petty theft and driving with a suspended license.
