Blink-182‘s Tom Delonge took to his Twitter account Tuesday to break the news that the band “as of today, is an independent artist.” It was a rather unceremonious end to Blink’s 15-year relationship with the Universal Music Group, which began in 1997 when they signed with MCA, stretched them through their greatest commercial successes and concluded last year, when they released their Neighborhoods albumthrough DGC/Interscope. And given that Delonge accompanied the announcement with a photo of Mel Gibson, in full “Braveheart” makeup and mid “Freedom!” cry … well, one could logically assume the parting was decidedly less than pleasant. Since then, both the band and their former label have remained silent on the split.

Green Day is ready to play The Video Music Awards, despite lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong’s recent hospitalization.

Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool were able to shed some light on the subject saying that Billie had severe dehydration and became very sick in his hotel room, he just simply couldn’t perform.

Armstrong is said to be recovering just fine and the band is ready to rock the Vma’s.

The One Direction boys have set a record. They have sold 12 million records in less than a year. Eight million were singles, three million were albums, and one million were DVDs. One of the boys, Liam said, “We are obviously ecstatic and incredibly humbled by our award. We have an incredible team of people around us who have helped us achieve this, and above all we would like to thank our fans. We owe all our success to them.”

Their next achievement will be performing on the MTV VMAs in September. Congratulations to One Direction!

The Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi rumors that she is pregnant have resurfaced and this time a sources says she is about three months pregnant. Snooki or her boyfriend have yet to comment on this rumor.

Snooki’s rep has yet to comment as well.

Bruno Mars’ new single ‘It Will Rain’ was released and is part of the ‘Breaking Dawn’ soundtrack. The music video was going to be released tomorrow, but Mars had to delay it because it is not finished.

Mars tweeted, “The MTV premiere will happen in a couple weeks. Be patient for ya boy. Love y’all.”

When Beyonce performed on the MTV VMAs she announced and showed off her new baby bump. During an interview with Australian talk show, ‘Sunday Night HD’ she sat down and it looked like her belly colapsed inward to show that it is fake.  Another reason for this could be the pantyhose she was wearing.

The new rumor is that Jay-Z hired a surrogate to carry their first child.

Last night on the VMAs, Beyonce made a huge announcement on the carpet before the show started. For those who didn’t see it, she went on stage to perform her single ‘Love on Top’ where she announced it again! The way she did was showing off her baby bump.

The cameras cut to Jay-Z in the crowd looking very happy. This will be their first child.

Fans of Community star Donald Glover, you’re in luck.  The comic, who got his start as a writer for 30 Rock, has been slated to host this years mtvU Woodie Awards.  The awards show features a variety of musical categories all voted on by college students.  With nominees ranging from Kanye West to Mumford & Sons and performers like Wiz Khalifa, it’s sure to be a fun night.  The show will air live Wednesday, March 16 at midnight on the MTV, MTV2 and mtvU.
