The Grammy nomination concert was held this past Wednesday and the results are pretty surprising! Out of the ten categories, only five women were nominated in all. Kelly Clarkson was nominated twice and Pink, Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen and Bjork were all nominated once. The rest were men! No Nicki Minaj and the most surprising yet…. No Justin Bieber! Find the full list of nominees below. The winners will be announced on February 13, 2013 in Los Angeles.
Justin Bieber got a little feisty at a concert this weekend at Madison Square Garden in New York City. A fan threw their cell phone on stage and the Beibs grabbed the phone and began taking pictures. More fans followed by throwing their phones on stage and Justin got very angry, threatening to steal or break the cell phones. He was kidding… sort of. It was his own fault though! Jimmy Buffett was hospitalized Tuesday night after falling off the stage and injuring his head during a concert in Sydney, Australia.
No word whether he was searching for his lost shaker of salt, but we hope he’s OK. Here’s how it happened…
Per the Australian Telegraph, the laid-back rocker was performing the final gig of a four-night stand in the Aussie city with his Coral Reefer band when he crooned “It’s been a lovely cruise / I’m sorry it’s ended” and then fell face first into the crowd.
Shocked Parrotheads told the paper that Buffett, 64, hit his head on the ground in front of the first row and lay bleeding while security argued with a man in the audience. Paramedics quickly rushed in to tend to him before eventually carting him off in an ambulance.

I’m sure you’ve probably heard about the accident that happened at a Metallica concert in November where a child at the edge of the stage accidentally had a beach ball sent her way as guitarist Kirk Hammett was kicking it and other beach balls out into the audience. If you haven’t seen it, here’s the video for reference:
Shortly after an explanation of what happened was posted on their official web site so that the situation would not get blown too far out of proportion.
I thought of the times I’ve went to see a band I enjoy and the things that happen not only on-stage but within the audience, some less irritating than others. I’d like to hear what irritates you the most when you have attended the show of your favorite group, artist, etc…
I’ll be with you until 11pm tonight so call me up and tell me your story.
